Tade Ipadeola is a Nigerian poet, essayist, translator, and lawyer. Tade is a multiple award-winning author. He writes in both Yoruba, his indigenous language, and English. He has published five volumes of poetry – A Time of Signs (2000), The Rain Fardel (2005), The Sahara Testaments (2013), Dreamrun: Poems for Bright Young People, a book of verse for children (2017) and Cold Brew (2023) In 2013, his book of poetry, The Sahara Testaments won the Nigeria Prize for Literature. His works have appeared in World Literature Today. Over the last two decades, he has contributed to small African Presses such as Saraba, Africa in Words, Africa in Dialogue, Khalam Editions, Olongo Africa, Brittle Paper, Agbowo and the South African Chimurenga. He lives in Ibadan, Nigeria, where he works and oversees the Kofi Awoonor Memorial Library.
