CURATE AN INDEPENDENT EVENT

The festival presents opportunities for independent curators to host events at LIPFest annually. So, if you have an event you think fits into the festival’s theme of the year, however loosely, and will like to host it, this is for you. Event options range from panel discussions, performances, workshops, film screenings, exhibitions, book launches, etc.

Selections will be made according to set criteria including curator’s experience and reputation and originality of idea.

Accepted events will be programmed as part of the festival’s programme for the year and given adequate promotional support. Applications are welcome from every corner of the globe. Events that can be independently funded by the producers, and meet the
aforementioned criteria, will be strongly considered.

The festival will be happy to support you with letters and any other relevant document if you wish to apply for a travel grant. The festival also subsidizes, and in some cases covers the full cost of travel for international applicants on a case by case basis.
