Kween Moore is a mother, interdisciplinary artist, poet, curator, and arts educator, serving Newark and communities across the U.S. Her creative vision spans photography, performance, and public art. As the founder of Femme Curator Arts and Urban Creative Arts Workshops, Kween’s work connects urban culture and the African Diaspora through art history and innovative programming.
Her notable achievements include serving as a lead muralist for Lincoln Park Gallery Without Walls and creating the acclaimed Black Girls Dream mural. Kween’s arts education efforts extend internationally, taking her to countries like India, Mexico, Canada, and Haiti, where she combines art with healing initiatives.
As an advocate for social change, Kween also serves as Acting Chair of the Newark LGBTQIA+ Commission and is a board member of STEAM Urban Arts Education. Her commitment to public policy, art, and community development has made her a trusted voice in Newark’s cultural landscape.
