Veronika Razpotnik

Veronika Razpotnik (1997) has a master’s degree in biochemistry. She was awarded first place at a students’ literary contest Rdeča nit in 2019 and is a two-time (2019, 2022) finalist of the contest for the best protest poem or social satire, Mentorjev feferon. In 2021, she became one of the five finalists of the Festival of Youth Literature Urška and in 2022 and 2023, one of the semi-finalists of the contest Poetry Tournament (Pesniški turnir). She was published in numerous main Slovenian literary magazines.

She is a co-founder of the group of young poets who create under the name Psevdopoeti (Pseudopoets) and whose anthology, titled Milimeter in pol (Milimeter and a half) was published in 2021. She also published her poems in the anthology of the contemporary youth literature, Srca v igri (Hearts in the game, 2021), in the anthology of young authors from the area of former Yugoslavia, Rukopisi 45 (Manuscripts 45, 2022) and in the anthology of protest poetry, Beseda upora (The word of rebellion, 2022). Her poetry collection, Krekspot na požarnih štengah (Crackspot on the fire escape) was chosen to be published in 2021 at the editorial house Hiša poezije’s poetry book publication contest and was nominated for the best literary debut of the 38th Slovenian Book Fair in 2022.
