Common narrative about urban life in cities like lagos i.e urban migration, scare/limited resources, homelessness, poverty, ordered disorder. iconic representation okada, slums, areas boys etc. What are the emerging innovations trying to change these representations? In what direction are these innovations must needed? How authentic can these new narratives be? What role can artist play in shaping, directing and amplifying this new narratives?
Our goal is outline straightforward ways in which artists in all forms can diagnose the prevailing culture/narrative and, when needed, ways in which they can work across and promote new narrative through emerging innovations aimed at bringing about cultural change.
